Applying too much pressure. An electric shaver will never shave as close as a blade; there is a physical barrier between your skin and the cutting blades in the form of a foil or guard. Some shavers will get really close, but the aforementioned aspect still remains true.

5 reasons why your electric shaver doesn’t shave 1. Your shaver is just plain bad. I know this sounds pretty blunt and radical, but that’s the main cause in most of these my shaver doesn’t shave situations. There are a plethora of electric shavers out there: different types, different manufacturers and different price categories.

Nope, definitely doesn't bog down. It's like it's not getting to the blades. It's not cutting the hair at all, I wouldn't think my stubble is too long, just a few days growth, but I will definitely have to check if it works better on day old growth. Thanks for the tip!

On the other hand when you wake up late or tired and have to shave you are not going to cut your neck with an electric razor. That is the basic trade off …. If you have time to hit the barber every morning or if you love putting toilet paper on your face after screaming well electric isn’t for you..

If this tension is too much, then the cutting blade will not move or will move poorly. If your tension is too little, then the blades will rattle, will pull hair, or will clog up with hair stuck between the blades which will stop the cutting blade from moving/cutting. Either way your tool will not cut properly. (Upcoming article) S.= Sharpen

Applying too much pressure. An electric shaver will never shave as close as a blade; there is a physical barrier between your skin and the cutting blades in the form of a foil or guard. Some shavers will get really close, but the aforementioned aspect still remains true.

Apply very light pressure, because the electric shaver will mostly do the job on its own. Follow the maintenance and cleaning instructions religiously. You don’t want old or faulty foils or cutters to cause nicks, bumps, or cuts. Shave the sensitive areas first because the longer your electric shaver runs, the hotter it gets.

And that's not all. Remember that electric shavers do NOT make you immune to nicks and cuts while shaving (as with traditional razors). So it's important to seal razor cuts immediately regardless of the kind of tool that creates them. Or else you'll be prone to skin infection. The Solution: Find The Best QUALITY Electric Shaver

Your Philips Shaver is dirty. It is possible that your shaver does not turn on or move because it is dirty. There can be hair or dirt particles stuck inside it, causing the shaving heads to become blocked. To fix this problem, properly clean your shaver. If possible, remove the shaving head and clean your shaver from the inside as well.

If your Remington razor seems to cut properly, but it appears to be lacking the power necessary to turn the cutter, try troubleshooting the battery. If your razor has enough power, but is cutting poorly, then the issue may be dirt in the head assembly or dulled cutters.
